Professional Hoof Care
EquiHoof Farriery Services is the working farriery practice behind the education. Servicing around 300 horses across Western Australia's South West, Vetty provides professional hoof care built on structure, consistency and genuine care for every horse on the books. Every horse is treated as an individual, and every owner learns a little more about their horse's feet along the way.
Our Services
Every service begins with understanding the individual horse: its conformation, workload, environment and history. From there, hoof care is tailored to what that horse actually needs.
Maintenance trimming for all breeds and sizes
Hot shoeing (fronts or full set)
Remedial and therapeutic hoof care, including specialised shoeing, pads and hoof protection
Hoof care consultations : In-person, by phone or alongside your veterinarian. Online assessments and consultations available through Online Hoof Support.
Advanced hoof assessment and gait analysis
The EquiHoof Ethos
Every horse has its own anatomy, its own biomechanical stresses, and its own environment to account for. With that depth of training and a thorough understanding of the equine hoof, Vetty works through her schedule with care, keeping each horse sound and educating owners as she goes.
Every visit is carried out with patience and your horse's comfort front of mind.
Horses under the care of EquiHoof are maintained on a fixed five-week service rotation. This helps keep hooves in the best possible condition for our region while providing owners with consistency, reliability and continuity of care. Maintaining regular service intervals is one of the most important factors in achieving long-term hoof health.
Becoming a Client
Every horse that joins the EquiHoof starts the same way: with time, a thorough first assessment, and a plan built for that individual horse. Here is what to expect when you sign on.
-
Your first appointment takes a little longer than a regular visit. It gives Vetty the opportunity to assess your horse thoroughly, discuss your goals and concerns, and allow both you and your horse time to get to know one another. It also gives your horse the opportunity to learn to stand quietly, square and comfortably throughout the appointment.
-
If you have any veterinary reports, radiographs or previous bodywork notes, please email them through when you complete your sign-on paperwork. Reviewing this information before your first appointment allows Vetty to study your horse's history on a larger screen in the office, understand any existing hoof care or rehabilitation plans, and arrive fully prepared to make the most of your first visit.
Terms, conditions and pricing are provided when you sign on, so expectations and the standard of service are clear from the start.
-
Because EquiHoof operates on fixed service rotations, opportunities to accept new clients are limited. However, from time to time availability aligns in existing service areas. If you'd like to be considered, we'd love to hear from you—simply register your interest and we'll be in touch if a suitable position becomes available.
